This will allow you to remote into iMac or Mac computers. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Simplified instructions:

Step One:

First, go to the lab and log in to your designated machine.

Second, send the area coordinator your UCF NID and Machine device name (begins with CAH812220XXX) If you are unsure how to find this, ask your faculty.

UCF IT will need to set up your Mac in order for Step Two to work.

Step Two:

First install Cisco Any Connect VPN:
https://secure.vpn.ucf.edu (select GROUP:UCF Students and enter lab login/password aka NID/Password)

Second: launch Cisco AnyConnect VPN
Enter: secure.vpn.ucf.edu and click Connect

Third: Install Real VNC:
https://www.realvnc.com/en/connect/download/viewer/

Fourth: Launch VNC Viewer
Enter: CAHdeviceName.net.ucf.edu in the top for the server address
When prompted, enter username: NID, enter password: NID password

Then you should be able to login to your computer and work as usual (one monitor only sorry!), which you should see with the viewer. There is a button in the dropdown at the top of the viewer that allows you to do the CTRL ALT DEL command so that you can wake up the computer to login.

When finished make sure to:
log out of the lab computer NEVER SHUT DOWN (you can reboot if needed)
Disconnect from Cisco Any Connect
